Landing in the human village
[Neive, Finbar and Gavin land in the human village.]
Gavin: What do you think they were like?
Neive: I don't know... it's been hundreds of years since anyone spotted any.
Gavin: My grandmother told me the legends. Said they were huge. Not as big as trolls but as big as ten of us! And they were very hairy. Covered in hair all over.
Finbar: What I heard was that they covered themselves in blankets. They stitched together blankets to wrap around themselves.
Neive: Weeeiiiird....
Gavin: Oh, and my gran said something about their ears! They were small and round!
Neive: Haha! How could anyone tell under the hair and the blankets?

The Spun Off Artist
These early Spun Off comics were made in different locations, at a time when everything I touched that had electronics in it would break down at a touch. So they were sometimes finished in Photoshop on Windows box, and sometimes in Gimp on a linux box. And in the great computer crash of 2009/10, when both my computers bricked at the same time and the external backups for both turned out to be worthless, I lost a bunch of files altogether.

Tis coincided with the great Spray Glue incident of 2009, which damaged the paper originals. It's a miracle some of these pages got preserved at all!

Anyway, the previous page was rescanned and rebuilt from scratch in Photoshop CS 5 on my MacBook. This one, on the other hand, is made from the original scan of the original version, made in GIMP in Groningen, NL in 2010, but with changes to the word balloons. It looks a little different from the previous one, but not so different that I feel the urge to remake it.

Thanks! I did some inventory a while ago, and there will be at least six separate plot lines in the first story. And to think it started out as a little comic about a faerie who wants to have sex outdoors!
