More delays
by The Spun Off Artist
I was sick today, so another window of opportunity for me to draw a page opened and closed without anything happening. I'll try to get it done next week.

Meanwhile, I've updated the Cast and Links pages with an entry for Wakatonka (ityphallic aspect not showing) in the cast page and an entry for my 24-hour comic attempt in the links page. I'm always on the lookout for comics to put in that links page, especially comics with an all-nude cast.
Delays
by The Spun Off Artist
OK, it looks like this week I will have to bite the bullet and miss an update. The page on my desk is only halfway to being scanner-ready and my weekeend is nearly over. As I rarely get to work on comics during the working week, the new page will have to wait until next week. Can't be helped!
24-hour comic!
by The Spun Off Artist
I took part in 24-hour comics day on Saturday, October 20. As more or less expected, I failed to reach the goal of writing and drawing 24 pages in 24 hours, and I failed pretty badly at that, finishing up with only 11 pages drawn. However, I do think the material I came up with was worthwhile. I had had an idea in my head for a while, and this 24-hour comics served as a pilot for it. Set in the same world as Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan and Spun Off, it is nonetheless very different in tone from both of them.

The pages are collected on my latest Comicfury website, Reinder's 24-hour comic for 2012, so named because I went into the event without a fixed plan of what I was going to do. I ended up simply piloting an existing idea, but I could have gone a number of other ways. Unlike with most of my comics, the home page has the first comic page on it instead of the last, so you can read the comic in order from there.

I need to catch up on a lot of sleep. I will try to have a new Spun Off comic ready by Tuesday morning.
Abúi's Travels
by The Spun Off Artist
Abúi's Travels is my latest project here on ComicFury. It contains the interdimensional, inter-comic adventures of the faerie Abúi from Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan, or at least those that I wrote and drew myself. It's currently running the story "Incognito" in which Abúi enters the universe of The Bare-Pit, which I wrote and drew as a guest series for that comic in 2006. Starting next Monday, the site will run a new storyline, in which Abúi goes to the strange world of Tyrion.

Both stories will be about 10 pages. I don't know if I want to do any new ones afterwards, but I wanted to have Abúi's adventures separated from the Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan archives. Both stories have the same combination of humour, whimsy and nudity as Spun Off but fewer Goblin boners. This may be a relief to some and a disappointment to others.
Return on Sep. 3 and new comic schedule
by The Spun Off Artist
Spun Off will return on September 3 as planned. The bad news is that the schedule will be cut to one comic a week, updating on Mondays. Ever since I launched Spun Off here on ComicFury in May, I've been able to produce one comic a week on average, so any more than that will lead to my buffer being eaten up and result in further interruptions in the schedule.

If you want a daily fix of my work, please follow the Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan reruns here on ComicFury. Also, there'll be a short-run project coming up pretty soon here on a new ComicFury website, as part of something known as the Crossover and Cameo Caper. This will consist of a rerun of 10 episodes drawn in 2006, plus a new 10-page vignette leading into the Caper proper. Naked faeries will be involved. The organiser of the Caper has talked about hosting all the comics that are featured on another ComicFury site as well, so it'll be easier to follow than previous editions of the Caper. There'll be more news about that when I'm ready.
